I am a single mother; I have a good job and get paid every other week; however, my problem is this...I am a single, hardworking, NAIVE mother...The good ol' IRS has helped themselves to my tax refund...why they want to pick on someone like me when they have soooo bigger fish to fry is outside my realm of thinking....anyway, I've had to move and was counting on my refund to help me catch up and get on track...unfortunately, I did that thing my mother always told me never do...I counted my chickens before my eggs were hatched.  I counted on that refund for my deposit on my apartment, deposit on my utilities and maybe, just maybe, dare I say it?...a little cushion in the bank account!!  Yeah right!  So here I am in need of replacing that money that Uncle Sam decided to keep this year...I need a personal loan of $2500.00; I will pay 10% interest on the loan and pay in full in eighteen months or less.  I just need a break, just a little help to get back on track...I was divorced in 2006 and I had to file bankruptcy on my vehicle because my ex husband insisted I get it out of his name...I couldn't find a car loan fast enough.  That is the reason I can't qualify for a traditional personal loan.  If you can help....please contact me...on that same note, if I can be of help to anyone else...please contact as well.  Thanks for reading my sob story...I do realize everyone has one!

family of four in need of housing unit and deposit money. I currently lost my job @ walmart due to reduction of work force. currently seeking employment of any kind. my landlord will not renew my 12month lease due to selling home. So we are stuck i have until Aug 31, 2009 to be out and in a new place seems imposible. all hope is masked by feeling hopeless and depressed.

Hey my name is Stephanie im currently a 19 year old college student. I have a huge problem, my parents moved me to Puerto Rico and I now have no way or money to return to school in Georgia. Which frightens me because I have a pending loan that starts if i don't continue my education. If there is any way you can help please let me know it is greatly appreciated and im an extremely hard work so I will do what it takes. And yes im down to earth and this is my first and last time ever doing this but i really need this one chance.

I am single and right now I am having some financial problems.  I am currently working but right now I have to move to a different apartment, and my car broke down.  I just do not seem to make my paycheck stretch very much.  I just want to be able to find a person or a business who can give me a personal loan, I am able to make monthly payment.  It just seems that this year has started out with very bad luck. I am a 53 year old woman, who is working as an Instructor at a Technical College.  I just want to try to get back on my feet and go from there.  I need to get some money together so I can come up with a down payment on a car.  It will cost too much to fix my car at this time, so it will have to remain broke.

I am 46 and in financial need of credit card consolidation loan . I have been in the realestate market for the past 5 years, with recent declines and my husband have a heart attack and being off for 8 plus months, we have created debt in the amount of 35,000.00 dollars.  I have recently gotten another job to help with the bills but its just not enough for all the debt. Have no car payments just credit card debt.  Please help.  Still doing real estate also.

My husband Dx with Medullablastoma at 29 in 1999.  At that time he lived here with me and we were paying for his insurance.  He had surgery, chemo and radiation.  He was fine for 6 years and then it came back in spine that was October of 2006 again radiaition and then in March another tumor again in head had chemo and radiation.  He was doing well until 2 months ago when he started to have systoms of tumors in spine.  His legs tingle and are numb and its moving up.  He is now in Mexico and I live here.  He is going to doctors down there.  We have been fighting this cancer for almost 10 years.  What I need is someone who will loan me 8000.00 for his treatments.  I cannot get a loan cause of his credit and believe me I have tried.  We have enought right now for 2 chemo treatments 800 dollars each.  I work full time and can repay a loan but just need someone to loan it to me.  With out the treatments he will most likely become unalble to walk and will die within a few months.  I am heartbroken that I have tried so hard for him and now it all comes down to money to the chemo.  We no longer have insurance since he is not in the usa and in Mexico they do not pay for this type of treatment unless you work for the goverment.  If anyone out there knows where I can get help to get this loan please let me know.  I have tried each and every loan company I can and have been turned down for all of them.  I own a mobile home but my sons live in it.  Thanks

I am a bank courier, and my car is the source of my income. Due to legal problems a while ago, I lost nearly everything, including my home, health insurance, and income for about twelve weeks until it played out. Credit damaged, the only way I could get the car I need to work was for about $650 / month at a Buy Here - Pay Here dealer. Repair and maintanence have been taking up nearly half my income. Now the car has failed and I cannot work. Every day off is costing about $200, and I am at risk of losing my good routes. I need a car loan or $1000 - 1500 to put down. I also need about $2500 to catch up everything that has been caught up on this treadmill. I can easily make a more reasonable payment once out from under this one and back on the road. I will gladly pay a good rate of return, and would have this loan administered through Circle Lending.com, a service the haddles loans among family and friends.

I am a divorced father of two children who's wife became very ill right after divorce.  The court has saddled me with a tremendous amount of debt and financial commitment and I am drowning - barely able to meet daily living expenses like gas to go to work.  I am looking to see if there is anyone who is willing to lend money privately so I can consolidate this debt, pay higher principle and solve this issue in my life.  I do not want to file bankruptcy and want to be able to pay back this debt - it is very important to my integrity and values that I make good - but the interest and process is not allowing me to make any headway.

I rescue animals and volunteer with the Junior Humane Society of Pensacola,FL. I am on a low fixed income, have been raising 2 children on my own who are turning out to be my pride and joy!! I currently am unemployed due to health reasons and my old truck finally kicked the bucket with 362,000 miles!

I am behind on my mortgage $ 4,200.00(need that amount by March 23rd/08 to avoid foreclosrure procedings), utilities $ 345.00 and no transportation!!! I live out in the country so there is no public transportion. I have to ask my neighbors for rides for Dr. visits, etc. Are there any "ANGELS" out there that can help me? I tried Prosper but they said my credit score was too low! Banks won't help either!! Family is on fixed income too!! I am asking $ 8000.00 to help me get back on my feet!!

   I am mom to two wonderful children.  I have a full-time job, and have also worked several night jobs just to make ends meet.  I know that I'm not the only person in the world with financial problems, but if you could just find it in your heart to even help a little bit, I would be forever greatful.  I am behind on my rent, and dread answering my phone in case it's another bill collector.  My financial need to get everything caught back up and be on an even playing field is $5,000 ... but every dollar would help.  Please, I don't know what else to do, I can't work any more hours in the day at this point.  I am so tired of juggling whether to pay the gas bill this month or the electric ... buy groceries or not!  Will you send a dollar or two -- if 300 people did that, I could eliminate at least one medical bill.  Or, if someone could loan me $5,000 and allow me to pay it back in small monthly payments, that would even be very helpful. Thank you and God bless.

The short version is:  I am seeking a short-term (6 months or less) loan of $10,000 for urgent repairs on our house that we are selling.  I am willing to pay interest, of course, but have been turned down by conventional lenders.  Our house is in a desirable area where houses are still selling well, but because it is already maxed-out with loans, we cannot sell for enough unless we do the urgent repairs needed first.  

The longer version is:  The reason the house is maxed-out with loans, and the reason we are selling and relocating to a less expensive area, is because we have gone through many years of major hardships.  I was in a bad car accident, then while I was recovering my daughter was paralyzed by a immune system disorder, then while she was recovering I was diagnosed with an unusual case of cancer and was told I had three weeks to live.  As crazy as that all was, my daughter and I both recovered, for the most part, with some lingering health issues remaining, but we are both alive and doing well now.  I also have a son with special needs as well; born with a genetic disorder. 

My point is...I can relate to the desperate health situations on this site, and the extreme financial trauma they cause.  During our crises, we maxed-out credit cards and borrowed from family, friends, and employers. My significant other worked two or three jobs at a time to keep a roof over our heads while I was on disability and going through the cancer treatments.  We have done whatever we could, but are exhausted by all we went through and living in a very high-cost area.  So, we are now moving out of state, have jobs and house lined up there, but need a little more help to get through this last hurdle of repairing and selling our current house. 

Our credit scores are low because of high debt and past late payments on bills (but not the mortgage).  Also, I just left my job because my daughter's health issues began flaring up again and my work schedule kept me from being able to take her to all her appointments (my upcoming new job has more flexible hours).  With the low scores, high debt, and my in-between-job situation, we simply don't qualify for conventional loans.  We have applied and applied and applied, and at this point we are simply out of time.  We will loose more money the longer we have to pay the high mortgage on this house, so I decided to look somewhere else. 

Reading the other stories, I have to say I feel embarassed asking for help here, because there are so many people in desperate need, and I realize we are fortunate in many ways.  I look forward to eventually being in a position to help others this way, myself.

I am just looking to get a loan or grant to catch up on my bills.  I am unemployed at this time.  My family and I are about to lose our apartment.  I have already lost my vehicle because I could not make the payments.  I just want enough so I can start getting back on my feet again.

Recently gone through bankruptcy and had to give up my dependable car. Now I have borrowed nearly $5,000 from friends and family to put an engine in my old car. More repairs were needed and now I'm needing $5,000 to pay back friends and family. I've tried getting loans, but since my bankruptcy is still fairly recent I can't borrow any money. I work full time and am actively seeking a 2nd job. I would really like to go ahead and pay back my fiends and family since I know they need it back soon.
